Over at the Sahuaro Ranch today, Glendale, Arizona

It's February of 2020, and this past weekend was the tractor show at the Sahuaro Ranch, which is just north of Glendale Community College, in Glendale, nearby where I live. I can't say that I'm a big tractor fan, or even know the first thing about tractors, but this event was important to me for two reasons, the main one being that the barnyard area of the ranch, where the fire had been, is now open. The buildings have been rebuilt. And the second reason is that I just like looking at stuff, even tractors, even if I don't understand - I get to time-travel.

The pic of me at the top of this post is on a 1960 Porsche Diesel tractor. I was just snooping around today, and a couple of the guys from the local tractor club showed it off to me. I took some more pics of it if you're into tractors, or Porsches, and here they are:

Anyway, my interest was in the buildings, which were rebuilt from scratch. They haven't moved everything into them, but they will. The blacksmith shop is my favorite area, and there were a few anvils and such in there. Here's a pic I took:

At the risk of sounding kinda dramatic, there were only ashes there before, after the fire. The city of Glendale has been in financial trouble for several years now, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this project. I'll be pedaling over there again soon!
