The cherished collectibles of Minder Binders today

If you were in Tempe, Arizona in the '70s and '80s, right nearby ASU (Arizona State University), you remember a bar and restaurant called Minder Binders. If not, this post really won't mean much to you, but if you, do it will mean a lot, because you may have wondered whatever happened to the cool stuff that was all over the walls there.

Yes, Minder Binders is gone, and has been for a long time, but the stuff hanging on the walls is still around, in "undisclosed locations". I can tell you a bit about these items, most of which were auctioned off many years ago. No, I'm not going to tell you where they are, unless of course you're wondering where the stuff I got is, which is here in Glendale, Arizona. But I just got some odds and ends, nothing really impressive, although still cherished by me.

I have a good friend who has the "blue canoe", which you can see at the top of this post. No, it's not for sale, and no again I won't tell you exactly where it is, but rest assured that it's still there, and still cherished. It belongs to my buddy, whom I'll call "Eric", because that's his name. It's in southern Oregon, but that's all I'll tell you.

If you yourself have one of these cherished collectibles, I'd like to hear about it. No, of course don't say exactly where it is - this is the internet, after all, but it would be nice to hear that it's somewhere safe and sound, helping to bring back cherished memories.

Speaking for myself, if I knew nothing about Minder Binders, and I saw one of these things in someone's house or garage I'd like to know about it. In home decor, that's known as a "conversation piece", and hopefully there would be beer served, and it would tie in together with younger and better days. Cheers! And yes, I'll have another beer!
